What is L33tsauce?

Welcome to l33tsauce.com. Here, anyone and everyone is free to create a page (we call them "Dojos") about any video game topic they like. When you create your own Dojo, you are the "Sensei," and you're the only one who can add or remove text, videos, pictures, or anything else from that page.

And to make the deal even better, you get 50% of the ad revenue from each Dojo you create.

What are Dojos all about?
Well, l33tsauce is what you make of it -- it's a searchable encyclopedia of video game knowledge, it's a treasure trove of cheat codes, it's a repository of walkthroughs, it's a collection of awesome game videos, or maybe it's a place to catch the latest about upcoming new releases.

For example, this page you're reading right now is actually a Dojo. On the left you'll see my profile information, and that I'm the Sensei of this page. You'll also see a table of contents for this page, and a little navigation that can take you to other Dojos that I've created.

You can check out some of our first dojos to see what making one is all about:

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: How do I get a beta invite code?
-------------------------------

A: L33tsauce is in private beta right now, which means that unless you have a code to sign up with, you're not going to be able to create an account and start making Dojos.

We're trying to keep our growth in check so that we can spend our time fixing our early bugs instead of creating new ones. That said, we make a regular practice of expanding our beta userbase as quickly as we can.

If you're interested in getting a beta invite code, send me an e-mail. We'll get you in as quickly as we can.

Q: What does "l33tsauce" mean?
-------------------------------

A: It means anything that is totally awesome in gaming. There are several different versions of the word, including "133tsauce," "leetsauce," and "l337sauce."

If I had to use it in a sentence, that sentence would be: "Did you see that headshot?? I am so l33tsauce!"

Since this site is a collection of cool things in video games, it seemed like a perfect fit.

Q: How to I get paid for my Dojos?
-------------------------------

A: L33tsauce lets you make money from your dojos by sharing the ad impressions with you.

Each page has a number (3, to be specific) of google ad boxes on it, and if you put your Google Publisher ID into the box in the "private settings" area of your profile information, then 50% of the time your dojo is served with ads as though the google ads were yours.

Your revenues will show up in your google adsense account, just like all your other google ad revenue. Magic.

Q: Why are pages called Dojos?
-------------------------------

A: Where do Ninjas hang out?

'Nuff said.

Q: "Why do my fingers hurt"
-------------------------------

A: Because you've been playing Virtua Fighter until your thumbs bleed. Duh.
